In the US, it's hard to investigate and/or prosecute churches. Separation of church & state, plus the right to religious freedom. They did investigate them in the 70's, a bunch of them went to prison (L Ron Hubbard's wife Mary Sue was included in that group of inmates). Since then.. nothing. But the good news is, we're working on making it happen again.
