Yeah the show was amazing. And I think it was editing the band had nothing but good things to say about JD and they had an awesome dynamic together. He actually broke down in tears during the concert while talking about what an awesome experience working with them has been. great show, and I agree the show did depict him as a bit of an ass.

That must have been an awesome show! :)I don't question JD's voice. I question his attitude and ability to work with others. He seemed to be a straight up pain in the ass, but that could have been editing. Anyway, I still think he was better for INXS. As much as I loved Marty his style was definitely in a different direction from what one would expect from INXS. Anyway, I really miss this show...fixed though it was! lol (Rossi's cousin spilled the beans on forums during season 2)

He's doing better with his other band, lovehammers.

Marty Casey only joined the show because he wanted to promote himself when he went back to his band. He didn't want to win the show.

marty should have won the show--by a long shot. this song he wrote himself and the guy who won had help wit his song. marty is by far a better performer. the guy who won only won b/c he fits the band better; he needs the band to make it anywhere. marty is a 1 man show.

God I miss this show

I wouldn't write JD off as mediocrity. the show didn;t do his voice justice. I saw them live last year and they were amazing the band was intense and JD;s voice was perfectly suited to the new and old INXS material. i think they went with someone more suited to their style of music. Marty is amazing though

No I thought Marty would have been great for INXS, but he would have taken the band in a direction that the band members thought they might have not wanted to go. Marty is his own man with his own visions and to me is way more talented than J.D., and Marty would have been a threat to what INXS wanted or was used to...a safer, less edgy sound, which they got in J.D. By failing to have the vision to pick Marty, INXS settled for mediocrity...their unfortunate loss in my opinion.

yeah i agree. would you agree Casey was not right for "INXS"? he is very talented, but not quite right... for that specific band. |
